Expansion plan, master planning
Design of the port expansion. Review and adjustment of the port master plan, railroad logistics study and its implications on terminal traffic. The analysis included the projection of railroad cargo and the design of complementary infrastructure to receive the railroad cargo without affecting the access roads. In addition, a monitoring and audit plan was developed for the works to be carried out in order to expand the terminal’s capacity.
Due Diligence (technical, operational, economic and financial)
The project covered all aspects of the port’s current operations, from safety and security to cargo handling and related equipment, financial modeling, market forecasting, maintenance, and human resources analysis. The consulting team reviewed operations and recommended new and more efficient ways to handle container and bulk cargo, as well as elements to be considered for funding refinement, including project risk allocation and mitigation.
Formulation of a detailed financial model, securing sources of financing, corporate restructuring, operational efficiency, strategic planning and corporate governance structure.
The project included financial structuring of the company, reprofiling of short-term debt, securing sources of liquidity, strategic planning, structuring of the investment plan, securing long-term resources for the implementation of the investment plan, business restructuring and operational optimization, corporate governance structure and development of family protocol.

The consulting team designed and implemented the master plan for Suriname’s first industrial park. Land assessments were conducted, economic groups were distributed according to cargo clusters, logistics for each cluster were analyzed, and the industrial park plan was designed,

The consulting team developed a complete commercial profile of the main port terminals in the South American Pacific, capturing and analyzing foreign trade data for Pacific cargo types. A five-year projection was made using predictive analysis methodologies for foreign trade cargo behavior, transshipment options, freight rate analysis, Panama Canal conditions, changes in shipping lines, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on foreign trade cargo, cargo type analysis (containers, bulk, liquids, Ro-Ro, LPG, LNG), logistics opportunities, and an assessment of the development of a CDLI.
